The sidewalk will have in-ground radiant heating with one of the trademark names being called snow melt. Essentially, the system will check the weather for precipitation while under 33°F (1°C). If so, the system will heat the ground to 54°F (12°C) to melt snow and ice from the sidewalk to make the sidewalk safer. It will also eliminate the need for having to shovel, and salt the sidewalk. Since there will be no snow nor ice on the sidewalk, no one is going to slip and fall. No special concrete will be required, but the sidewalk will have to be tore up in the renovation phase.
On another note, I would get an engraved markings in the sidewalk. It will have the address, and the house’s URL?. This will allow those that are curious to learn more about the house they are walking past. Some might question this saying I am giving information to bad actors, but as I am open about my life without disclosing confidential information, I will do the same for the house.
